What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday to ya!  I hope you are having a wonderful week so far.  Don't forget it's humpday, we're over halfway to the weekend!

Linking up with Jamie at This Kind of Love, to all share what's making us smile today!

- I'm loving that we're about to have two visits from family in the next two weeks. Hurray!  Baron's Dad is coming up early next week on a stop to another trip he's going on.  I'm trying to think of something delicious to whip up and impress my father-in-law.  Fred, any ideas?! ;)   Then in about two weeks my parents are flying up to spend the weekend with us.  I'm so excited to show them our new house.  Well, the pile of dirt where our house will one day be!  Trying to think of exciting things to do and show them while they're visiting.  Do any of you locals have any good ideas?

- I'm loving that I lost three pounds this week at my weigh-in!  Say whaaaaa?!  So I'm not entirely sure why that happened because I didn't really do anything different than normal, but I guess if you are persistent sometimes you may be in for a little happy surprise!

- I'm loving all the weird dreams I've been having lately.  Last night I dreamt that I was asleep and woke up (are you following?) to find my husband at our dining room table furiously flipping through magazines.  I walked up and saw that they were all home decorating magazines, think Better Homes and Gardens, Country Living, etc.  I asked him what he was doing and he said, "Brekke, what's wrong with you! We've got to start thinking about decorating our house! I've got a few idea boards for you..." and then he pulled up several posters of all of his ideas that he ripped out of the magazines. Haha, I don't think he could care any less about the decor for our new house, but tonight I'm gonna ask him if he's seen my copy of Better Homes and Gardens to see if his ears perk up, ha!

- I'm loving that it's almost Friday, which means that it'll be two weeks since we went to the design center for our house, which means supposedly construction will be started!  They said two weeks, which I took as at least a month because nothing has gone according to schedule lately.  Baron and I placed bets on when our closing date for our house would be.  I said June 28th and Baron's guess was "right around the time we need it to be done", never one for a commitment, that boy!  We need it to be done at the beginning of June because our lease for our apartment runs until June 13th.  I just can't see them starting construction, finishing the build, doing our walk throughs, fixing anything found in the walk throughs, scheduling closing, getting all of our necessary paperwork for closing, and actually closing before the first of June, but we shall see.

I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! xoxo

What I'm loving Wednesday

Wednesday is upon us once again!  I love Wednesdays for many reasons.  First, it means we're almost to the weekend! Wednesday is usually my "start over" day with Weight Watchers and Publix lists their new buy one- get one free items.  I tell ya, I lead an exciting life! Ha!

I'm linking up with Jamie to talk about the things that make me smile today!

- I'm loving my sweet husband.  I have a little love story to tell you in honor of Valentine's Day.  We bought some cream cheese brownies for the Superbowl this weekend.  I ate my fair share of the brownies (which means way more than my husband because he has something called self-control).  When he went to work on Monday morning I realized there was only one brownie left. Bummer.  A few hours later I receive a text from my husband, "Save the last brownie for me."  Girls.  Do you know how hard that is?!  So that night we sit down to watch The Biggest Loser The Bachelor together and I ask him when he's gonna eat his brownie (because I'm thinking I really want a bite).  His eyes lit up and he went into the kitchen and brought back that delicious looking brownie with a big glass of milk.  Drool.  He walked up and handed it to me and said, "I want you to have it."  Insert angels singing!  He told me that was his plan all along, to give me his brownie so I would know how much he loves me. Aww.  And like a good wife, we split the brownie. Amen.

- I'm loving that we have an appointment at the Design Center to pick out everything for our new house this Friday!  I am just so excited I could scream!  We've been told that construction could start as soon as about two weeks after that appointment. Yay!

- I'm loving that I'm back on track with Weight Watchers.  After the whole brownie incident this weekend and a few too many incidents eating out in Utah and Florida, I was up a few pounds.  It's a little easier because it was expected, but I'm excited to get back on track.

- I'm loving that I completed another painting last night! Stephanie challenged us with painting a huge chocolate cupcake with a glass of milk!  Amanda out did herself once again and made some delicious cupcakes for us!  Seriously, some of the best I've ever had.  My favorite was a devil's food cupcake with caramel, coffee, toffee flavored icing. Yum!  Some new friends were there too,  hi Erin and Myra!  It was so nice to meet you girls!  It has been great getting to know some new friends in my new town.

My Finished Product

Amanda's Cupcake Tower!  The third tier down seemed to be the crowd favorite!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Hey y'all! Linking up with Jamie for What I'm Loving Wednesday, check out her blog and play along!

- I'm loving being with my sweet puppies again.  I missed them and I think they had a blast at the doggie daycare place where they boarded.  When I dropped them off before leaving for Salt Lake City, they ran straight into the daycare place and didn't even look back. I was so happy they were excited to be there.  They were pooped when I brought them home yesterday from their little vacay.

- I'm loving that Baron and I had such a great time in Salt Lake.  It started snowing at the most perfect time and left the city glittering and beautiful!  But as usual, I'm happy to be home again.

- I'm loving sweet husband.  Seriously, how did I get so lucky to marry someone who puts my happiness and comfort above his in every decision he makes.  We celebrated our 8th "monthiversary" while in Salt Lake.  And by celebrated I mean I just remembered right this second like 4 days later.  Ha!

Happy Wednesday people! Make it a good one!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Happy Wednesday! Linking up with the beautiful Jamie to discuss all the things I'm loving today!!

- I'm loving that Baron got home last Sunday and we finally got to decorate for Christmas!  I loooooove Christmas decorations, but I left a lot of stuff with my best friend when I moved from Florida.  This year the plan is to be low key and buy some new stuff to use in our house next year on the day after Christmas. Yay!!

You better believe I've been burning this bad boy since December 1st! Mmmmm!

Our itty bitty tree :)  I got this for Baron's apartment for our first Christmas
when we were dating.  He wasn't going to decorate. GASP!!

- I'm loving that Max graduates from obedience school tomorrow.  Well, we hope anyways.  He's gotten noticeably more well behaved but he's by no means an angel.  Oh well, he's cute.  I'm debating on whether or not to enroll him in "Advanced Manners". Ha!

So studious!
- I'm loving that our Christmas cards are all done! Just gotta get some stamps and drop them in the mail :)  Will post a picture after I've sent them through the mail.  Don't want my Mom to get a sneak peek! :)

- I'd like to say that I'm loving that we signed off on our house plans yesterday but....we didn't.  We were notified that our plans were ready to be reviewed so we met with our realtor and the realtor for the builder and none of the plans that we had wanted were shown on the plan.  The only thing that was added was our addition of a bonus room upstairs.  Soooooo, back to the architect they go and now we wait again. ***Trying to be patient!*

Judging from the barking that's going on in the other room, I'm thinking Max will be enrolled in his next obedience class by this afternoon.  Waiting on my hubby to get home then off for a little Christmas shopping! Yay!

What I'm Loving Wednesday

Hey y'all!  Hope everyone is having a good week, it's hump day!  Hump day means that it is Wednesday and it's time to link up with Jamie and think about things that make us  HAPPY!

- I'm loving that my husband and I survived our long distance relationship and we are now living happily ever after in the SAME city.  I can't tell you how good that feels after having to drive two hours to see each other for our entire dating relationship.  Not to mention the fact that I was working night shift so we were seperated by distance and schedule constantly.  It was hard.  Worth it?  Absolutely.  But boy was it hard.  I would find myself picking fights and getting irritated with Baron the night before we had to leave each other just because I was upset that we were going to be seperated.  It wasn't fair to him and I still struggle with how I act whenever Baron has to travel.

Baron's had to leave for work more frequently than either of us had thought going in to this.  It's been hard and it takes me back to the time when we were dating and couldn't be together.  Sometimes it's harder than others.  I think right now, while we're still new to the area and I don't have a real support system here, it's going to be the hardest.  It just feels so lonely sometimes.  I really wish there was another word for "lonely".  I just hate to use lonely because I really am happily married and happy that we are here in Alabama,  together.  I think this move will make our marriage stronger because we have to depend on one another and only one another initially.

- I'm loving that I'm back on track with Weight Watchers this week.  I gained a little bit when I weighed in right after Thanksgiving but I figured that would happen.  I didn't try to stay on track while we were at the cabin in Georgia (which is probably not the right attitude to have) but I have to do what's best for my long term success.  I'm okay with losing slowly and looking at the big picture because if I stayed 100% on plan all the time I think I'd lose weight quickly, but I know that I would'nt be able to do it for long and would probably gain all my weight back in a flash.  So yeah, after paying the piper at my weigh in on Monday, I'm happy to be back on track!

Floss your teeth, kiss your husbands, tell your friends how important they are-
Later Taters!

WILW

Well it's Wednesday already, time to link up with Jamie to discuss all the things that bring us smiles on this rainy Wednesday!

First of all let me give y'all a fair warning.  The plague has hit our house.  Baron and I have been sick for almost two weeks now on and off.  I keep thinking we're getting better but we've progressed to the coughing stage of the game.  Baron's is worse at night when he's trying to sleep and mine is terrible when I first wake up in the morning.  My poor hubby didn't get a wink of sleep last night.  Every time he'd been quiet for long enough for me to think he'd fallen asleep he'd start hacking up a storm again.  After I fell asleep it seemed like I'd wake up every 20 minutes hearing Baron cough or coughing myself.

This is our first round of us both being sick since we got married.  It's not really that much fun!  I'm by far the worst patient.  Baron complained one time that he wasn't feeling well TWO weeks ago and hasn't said another word about it unless I ask him.  Me?? Well I've been complaining about it since I got sick. Wah, wah, wah!

Okay onto to brighter topics:

- I'm loving that we picked out our brick color for our house!  We were instructed to drive through another neighborhood that was built in it's entirety by our builder and choose three different brick colors that we liked.  These are our choices (I don't know who these houses belong to, but there's no identifying road signs so I think we're legal, right?! Ha!)

Brick Color #1- We really loved this color since the first time we saw it.  It's not too red, but it still looks like a traditional brick color.  We like it with the dark colored roof and beige windows.  When given the choice between white or beige windows we thought immediately that we would choose white but after seeing the white up close, it was a little too white.

Brick Color #2- We liked this one but think it would look great with a
darker roof and the same beige trim and windows.

Brick Color #3- We also felt this one would like nice with a darker roof and beige windows and trim.  The difference between brick colors #2 and #3 is hardly noticeable so it might be a coin toss if our first choice isn't available.

- I'm loving that Thanksgiving is right around the corner!  We're doing Thanksgiving with my parents and Baron's parents.  I can't wait to see everyone and have a few days of fun together.

- I'm loving that our Christmas cards came in already.  I'm trying to wait to start writing them but I may not be able to much longer...I just love Christmas!!

- I'm loving my hardworking husband.  He's had to be at work at six o'clock every morning this week and is running on little sleep.  Hopefully this weekend is full of sleeping in and relaxing!  I sure do <3 him!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Already Wednesday again and time to link up with Jaime and talk about all the things we're loving this Wednesday!

- I'm loving that I got back on track with Weight Watchers this past week and lost 3 pounds! Woohoo!

- I'm loving that I thought of a great idea for a place to take our Christmas card picture this year, now granted it'll be done with a tripod and a self timer so it won't be anything outta a magazine but I'm a little excited about the backdrop :)
I know you're jealous. Ha!
- I'm loving that talking to my best friends on the phone makes me feel like I never even left Florida but it makes me miss them a little more too :-/

- I'm loving that we're meeting with our Buyer's Agent this afternoon to see a lot that we've had our eye on.  Supposedly we can reserve the lot for some amount of money which might help us figure out exactly what we want to do.  I'm so excited!  We've been to visit the lot more times than I can count and it already feels like home.  Ahhhhhhh.

- I'm loving my sweet family :)
Da boyz

and da gurlz
- I'm loving that I've been successful with Weight Watchers and that I'm needing to buy some new clothes and I'm not loving it at the same time.  I'm not good at putting outfits together and I really don't enjoy shopping like I used to when I was younger.  The other thing is that I have some more weight that I'd like to lose so I don't want to stock my closet now and then have to buy more in a few more months.  Hummmph.  My mom told me that she never liked shopping and I always looked at her like she had 3 heads but I'm kind of understanding her now.  I guess eventually I'll have to give in but I'm gonna push it to the limit.  Hopefully I don't drop my drawers in the middle of Target.

I wish you all non-flat Diet Cokes and hair full of volume! Happy Wednesday!

Linking up with Jaime for What I'm Loving Wednesday.  It's kind of a dreary day here in North Alabama, so it's time to think about the things that make me smile :)

- I'm loving snuggle time with Macey.  She's been kind of clingy lately for some reason, but I won't complain about it!  Max starts obedience school tomorrow morning and I'm thrilled!! I hope he learns some manners :)

- I'm loving that it's almost time for Thanksgiving!  We are meeting both of our parents in Georgia for Thanksgiving weekend, we're gonna stay in a cabin on a lake with all the dogs.  It'll be a blast.

- I'm loving my latest Pinterest craft.  Have y'all been on Pinterest.  Don't.  It's addicting!  I got a styrofoam pumpkin at Michael's and a little puff paint and voila!!

- I'm loving my latest Weight Watcher creation.  Flatbread pizza for a total of 7 points!  You can put whatever you want on it, this one was turkey pepperoni and yellow peppers.  I've eaten this for lunch for the past 4 days, lol!

- I'm loving my hard working husband too! I really miss him today :(

I'm loving that I've lost 10 pounds since starting Weight Watchers five weeks ago.  Slowly but surely wins the race...right turtle?!

- I'm loving that we have a three day weekend coming up. Yay for Labor Day!  I'm hoping I convince Baron to go look at model homes this weekend.  We drove around last weekend looking at houses (way outta our price range) just for fun but I wussed out when it came to actually go inside and looking at any of them.  Not sure why...I guess I just feel like an impostor or something. Ha!

- I'm loving that it's time for Gator Football on Saturday!! Yayyyyyy!  It's going to be an adjustment to be a Gator up here in Alabama, but you gotta do what you gotta do I 'spose.

- I'm loving that in less than two weeks my sista-from-anotha-mista is flying here just to drive all the way back to Florida with me the very next day.  I am so. freaking. excited.  I lived with this girl for six years of my life.  The hardest parts of my life were lived with her, but also some of the best.  I'm so so excited!!

This is typical!

I'm loving my little family. Love my husband and my two hounds that seem like lately are costing a pretty penny but they make me smile every day!

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Another Wednesday and time to link up with Jamie and talk about all the things we're loving today!

I'm loving this cool weather we're having.  In the mornings and evenings it's actually nice out and makes you want to be outside. Ahhhh, what a change.  Unfortunately I think it's only gonna last a day or two longer.

I'm loving that I have a little bit more energy today and starting to finally feel better.  With a little Tylenol Cold & Hot Tea anything is possible!

I'm loving that we made it to the rodeo on Friday night.  It was a lot of fun!! Couldn't get any good pictures but it was fun to watch all the events.  Of course the bull riding was most exciting but Baron and I were having a hard time figuring out all the rules and such.

I'm loving that we had a fun/relaxing Saturday before I got sick on Sunday.  We didn't do much but we did manage to take both dogs to Petsmart because we needed a new filter for our goldfish, Jack.  We bought the filters but sadly Jack died yesterday (of course while Baron was at work and I had to flush him!)

On the way to PetSmart. Macey is enlightening Max about the cookies at the register.

I'm loving that it's almost my birthday week!! Yay!! My mom sent me the harness Macey is wearing for my birthday.  It's a Puppia brand and I really like it, feels like I have more control over here.  She is only about 30 lbs but she feels like 50 when she uses all her muscles to drag me somewhere!

Doesn't she looked thrilled with her new harness?! Ha!

Colombian Steak

I'm loving that this Weight Watcher recipe turned out great.  What with the egg on top and everything I had my doubts but it was really good.  10 points for everything but the roasted broccoli was delicious! Another recipe from skinnytaste.com

I'm loving that I had a burst of energy/feelin' good last night and Baron and I took the pups to a park nearby for a walk.  It was nice to get out of the house and enjoy the nice weather.  Dogs had fun chasing geese.

If that doesn't say tired, happy puppy I don't know what does!!
Today my goals are simple.  Do laundry and make it to the grocery store.  Anything else is just extra.  I can't wait to be 100% again.  Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!!  What are you loving today?!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Hey girls, linking up with Jaime over at This Kind of Love for "What I'm Loving Wednesday".   A collection of things I'm loving, I'm thankful for, and things I appreciate on this beautiful (but hottttt!) Wednesday.

- I'm loving that I lost.....wait for it....don't get too excited.... 0.6 lbs this week.  I was a little disappointed after losing so much last week but according to Weight Watchers we're supposed to be aiming for 0.5-2 lbs per week to lose.  I just felt like I ate healthier and I know I worked out more this week than the first, but we'll see.  It's a small step in the right direction.

- I'm loving that Baron got to come home early last Friday and we had a little bit of a long weekend together! Here are those pictures from Monte Sano I talked about yesterday.  I can't wait for it to get cooler so we can go out and spend more time there.

- I'm loving my husband and puppies as usual.  They are the loves of my life :)

Naptime...melts my heart!!

Max is getting big!
- I'm loving Mrs. Carrie as usual.  I want to be her friend.  Most of the time when I'm at the gym I think about her legs and how I should probably keep going because maybe onnnnnnne day I can like a lil like Carrie. Hey, a girl's got to get her inspiration from somewhere.

WILW

Happy Wednesday Morning!! Here's what I'm loving this week:

1. Saving $$$- I've been trying to be a little more conscious about my spending habits lately.  Several years ago I was a little reckless with my spending, it didn't help when Baron and I first started dating because we drove so much to see each other not to mention the wanting to look cute thing, which means I had to buy new outfits, jewelry, bags, etc.  Well by the time I realized that he was "the one" I had racked up some ugly credit card debt. It wasn't as much as some people walk around with but I can admit that even if I put 100% of my earnings towards paying it off it would take me more than a couple of months to do it.  I made a decision to get it paid off before we got married and it ended up being a race to the finish but I did it!  Since then I've been 10x more conscious of my spending habits and trying to make better decisions.  I've even started using coupons...the horror!! It hasn't been as difficult as I thought it would be and I've even gotten some things for free this week!  I got a bunch of handsoap, pens, and sharpies for free, not to mention the only money I've saved throughout the week.  And of course my responsible, money smart husband is proud :)

2. My mom is coming TOMORROW- Yay! I feel like I haven't seen her in a year!  Actually it's only been 7 weeks, and we used to go longer than that without seeing each other but I think the distance thing makes it feel like longer.  I'm excited to show her my new home and new puppy and get to spend some QT with her. Yay

3. Day #1 of Weight Watchers- Went to a meeting yesterday afternoon and got all the info I need to do this!  We had some of Baron's friends over for dinner last night and made this:  Zucchini & Bacon 3 Cheese Lasagn.  Yum!! A "last meal" of sorts :)

4. There are no words necessary.  But it's the exact color of Tiffany & Co. boxes, I'mjussssayin.

5. My hubby- My heart just melts!  I walked in on this little scene the day after we got Max and he cried on and off most of the night= very little sleep for the rest of us!  I guess these two just had to catch up on a few zzzzzz's.  Precious!

7.20.2011

WILW

1. My sweet puppies- They are constantly cuddling and napping. Love these babies.  Max is doing much better.  He's using his leg almost like normal and doesn't act like he's in any pain.

2. Cooking- Not kidding folks!!  I made use of all the veggies we got at the Farmer's Market last night and made some baked chicken with zucchini, sliced up some tomatoes and roasted the patty-pan squash with a pinch of brown sugar, it was delicious and colorful! Yum!

3. Finding a great hair place-  I got a haircut yesterday and I'm excited to go back and see her to go even shorter!  Had to make sure I could trust the girl first! Please excuse the self portrait in the car shot, had to send a pic to some peeps for approval ;)

4. That I'm feeling better- I've had a weird abdominal pain thing going on since last week and decided to go see someone on Monday because it was getting worse.  Docta thinks I have an ulcer and hooked me up with some antacid meds that are the bomb! I feel so so much better after taking them for 2 days.  He did say I had to cut way back on Diet Coke, caffeine, and acidic foods for the next 2 weeks or so :(  I've been surviving on 1 can of crack Diet Coke a day. Ugh...it's not pretty!

5.  Visits from family-  Baron's mom is coming later today for a day or so.  She's on her way up to an air show in Wisconsin and making a pit stop here to see us.  Then next Thursday my mom is flying up and staying through the weekend!  It'll be so fun to have family here for a little while.  Macey will be so excited to see her Grandmas and I know they're excited to meet Max.

6. My husband-  It still feels a little crazy to say that.  Tomorrow we've been married for 2 months!  Time flies ;)  He is so good to me, not really sure how he puts up with all my craziness.  Let's face it, quitting your job, getting married, and moving to a new state all within 6 weeks would make any sane person crazy, but I may or may not have been firing on all cylinders before all that happened if ya-know-what-I-mean, haha!! Sometimes it's hard to be a girl.  Sometimes you just feel like crying and being in a funk.  Thankful that he puts up with me and knows how to make me feel better. <3
Us at Joe Nall RC Event- Greenville, SC- 1 week before our wedding

What about you?  What are you loving on this Wednesday??
